    • MATERIAL

This sculpture is made out of opper wire, recycled from underground and submarine cables. The precious material provides a fascinating and multifaceted foundation for this sculpture. Originally used as a means of communication, these cables gain new significance through their transformation into the artwork. They no longer carry just data and messages, but also the statement and spirit of the sculpture.

Copper is a natural material found in the Earth's crust and has been used by humans for thousands of years. Its excellent physical properties make it an ideal material for various applications. As an outstanding conductor of energy, copper plays a central role in electrical engineering and electronics. However, this conductivity is not limited to the physical realm. In the artwork made from copper wire, conductivity can also be understood in a figurative sense: copper as a carrier of energy, as a mediator of emotions and ideas.

The characteristic color of copper, a warm, shiny reddish-brown. I sealed it, so it retains its natural shine for many years. The seal protects the material from oxidation and discoloration, preserving the characteristic warm reddish-brown hue of the copper. This conservation makes copper a durable and enduring material, maintaining its aesthetic appeal and reflective surface over time.
